Imagine All The Law Students…

Imagine there’s no Skadden

It’s easy if you try.

No Wachtell above them.

Below them only everyone else.

Imagine all the law students.

Living for today ….

Imagine there’s no biglaw.

It isn’t hard to do.

Nothing to bill or die for.

And no partnership too.

Imagine all the law students.

Living lives of peace.

oh oh oh …

You may say I’m a dreamer.

But I’m not the only one.

I hope some day you’ll get a clue.

And you will get over yourself.

Imagine no possessions.

I’m sure that you cannot.

And you will say it’s because of your debt.

But I will say you want a Mercedes.

Imagine all the people.

Sharing all the world.

You may say I’m a dreamer.

But I’m not the only one.

I hope some day you’ll get a clue.

And remember it’s not all about you.

So we read the news today … OK, we’ll stop with the Beatles now. We love abovethelaw and its coverage of the woeth is me generation. But now the New York Times has taken on the plight of the Yale law students who Baker & McKenzie is not courting? God!! Next thing you know people will be dying in Iraq. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/26/business/26lawyers.html?pagewanted=1&em

Oh wait. They are.

So we’re just saying there are other things to do with a law degree than earn whatever the new $160,000 a year is. Maybe go help someone, be useful in the world, pursue a dream you can’t park in a driveway.
