Craig Johnson, the Silicon Valley lawyer who left Wilson Sonsini in 1993, to form Venture Law Group and last year formed Virtual Law Partners died Saturday evening after suffering a stroke. http://sanfrancisco.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/stories/2009/10/05/daily10.html
He served as CEO of Virtual Law, which he founded with Andrea Chavez and RoseAnn Rotandaro, whom he married in recent months. The trio founded Virtual Law to revolutionize the legal industry with a non-brick and mortar approach to legal services. The firm now has more than 40 lawyers and is growing rapidly, representing clients in the U.S. and international markets. He was also a successful venture capitalist and a co-founder of Garage Technology Ventures and Financial Engines.
Lawdragon was gratified to work with Johnson and his partners on a story announcing the firm’s creation, which you can read here http://www.lawdragon.com/index.php/newdragon/fullstory/time_for_the_virtual_revolution/.
He will be missed.
